Member Spotlight is dedicated site where we feature news & upcoming events from our members. Organizations will be permitted a maximum of three events to be featured at any given time in the Member Spotlight. Network Members Receive Housing Trust Fund Awards
On January 5, Governor Murphy announced the award of more than $19 million to organizations across the state through the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF), National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF), and the HOME Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO) Production Program. A total of 17 developers were awarded these funds totaling a $19,082,545 investment towards 79 units. Network members selected to receive funds include: Saint Joseph's Carpenter Society, Garden State Episcopal CDC, Reformed Church of Highland Park, Triple C Housing, and the Affordable Housing Alliance.

Paterson Habitat for Humanity Becomes Passaic County Habitat for Humanity
Paterson Habitat for Humanity changed its name to Passaic County Habitat for Humanity on January 1, 2023. This name more accurately reflects their work and supports their strategic expansion to serve Passaic County as a whole. “Our ability to build homes, community, and hope has evolved beyond Paterson. The name change serves as a reflection of our organization’s growth and expansion,” says Scott Millard, Chief Executive Officer, Passaic County Habitat for Humanity.  

MEND Awarded Prestigious AMO® Accreditation by IREM®
Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND) earned the AMO® (Accredited Management Organization) accreditation from IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management). MEND joins an exclusive group of nearly 600 real estate management companies world-wide that have met the requirements to earn this distinction. AMOs demonstrate strong financial performance, outstanding leadership, and adhere to a Code of Professional Ethics strictly enforced by IREM to maintain integrity beyond reproach. Accreditation as an AMO requires firms to follow best practices in real estate management, demonstrating that they meet standards and functions related to operations and service. Property owners can be assured that an AMO will put their interests first.
